The Panavia Tornado F3 is an aircraft that has appeared in all Airforce Delta games. The F3 is just one of many members of the Tornado family of aircraft. It is an improvement of the older Tornado F2. It is Ellen McNichol's starter plane in Airforce Delta Strike.
Design (All Games)[]
The Tornado F3 looks the same as any other Tornado; A long profile with a single vertical stabilizer, twin-engine, and possessing variable sweep wings.
Performance[]
Airforce Delta[]
The Tornado F3 is unlocked fairly early on in the game. Stats overall are average, with the highest being Speed. It isn't a bad plane overall, but it is somewhat outclassed by the MiG-29 and F-16 you'll already have unlocked by this point in the game.
Airforce Delta Storm[]
Again, an average plane, unlocked near the beginning of the game. Stats are, again, overall average, with the emphasis on speed yet again. It has below average attack, and a pitiful range of 1. This is, by far, the worst of the three Tornadoes in the game; the Tornado IDS and Tornado ADV are far superior to this craft.
Airforce Delta Strike[]
We may sound like a broken record at this point, but again, stats are average. Speed is no longer the biggest emphasis of this plane. It's the plane Ellen McNichol starts off with when she is unlocked for the space missions, making it completely free.

Trivia[]
- Strangely, this is Ellen's starting plane, as opposed to the Jian-Ji 10, the aircraft she had used when she was a part of the O.C.C..
- In Airforce Delta Storm, its missile model appears to be a Paveway series guided bomb instead of an actual missile. A particularly odd choice since the F3 variant is supposed to be an air superiority fighter, moreso that a guided bomb model is used as missile.
