In Airforce Delta Storm, there are some hidden levels which are unlocked by completing certain Intercept missions close to airbases. There are eight of these hidden missions in the game.

Overall Description[]

Hidden missions generally involve destroying ground targets and sometimes shooting down a fighter jet or two. Some are repeats of other hidden missions with different enemies and a different sky color as well as a different terrain.

To the Front Lines[]

To the Front Lines is the first hidden mission that can be unlocked in Airforce Delta Storm.

The E.E.Lightning/F6 is unlocked for 210,000 credits. In the PAL version, a plane exclusive to it, the Super Etendard, is also unlocked for 190,000 credits.

A Lingering Afterglow is the fourth hidden mission that can be unlocked in Airforce Delta Storm.

On a Vast Stretch of Earth[]

On a Vast Stretch of Earth is the fifth hidden mission that can be unlocked in Airforce Delta Storm.

Walkthrough[]

This mission is essentially a repeat of To the Front Lines so there's not much here to mention other than the fact that there are a few differences: While To the Front Lines featured bullet-firing ZSU-23 AAAs, this mission features missile-launching PAC-3s, so you should be a bit more careful. The planes here are also different.

The reward for this mission is 50,000 credits plus a variable amount depending on the amount of enemies taken out and, in the case of the planes, how they were taken out. The Super Rafale is unlocked for 420,000 credits.

Blinded[]

Blinded is the sixth hidden mission that can be unlocked in Airforce Delta Storm.

Walkthrough[]

Another repeat of a previous hidden mission. In this case, it's one of Pinpoint, though this time there are missile-launching PAC-3s instead of bullet-firing ZSU-23 AAAs, so be careful. You also have to shoot down two fighter jets here, as opposed to just one in Pinpoint.

Surprise Attack[]

Surprise Attack is the seventh hidden mission that can be unlocked in Airforce Delta Storm.

Walkthrough[]

Now this mission here's a repeat of The Glass Scale. Here, however, you must shoot down two fighter jets, instead of just one and, as with most other Chapter 2 repeats of hidden missions from Chapter 1, there are missile-launching PAC-3s here rather than ZSU-23 AAAs, so, again, be careful.

Reward[]

The reward for this mission is 70,000 credits plus a variable amount depending on the number of enemies taken out and, in the case of the planes, how they were taken out. The I-2000 is unlocked for 580,000 credits.

Destroy the Aerial Base[]

Destroy the Aerial Base is the eighth and final hidden mission that can be unlocked in Airforce Delta Storm.

Walkthrough[]

This mission plays similarly to A Lingering Afterglow in that you must take out ground targets that are mostly standing individually. There are a couple of differences though. First of all, there are three PAC-3s you must destroy, unlike A Lingering Afterglow which involved destroying only two. Second, the targets are even further spread out across the map than they were in A Lingering Afterglow, making this mission slightly more difficult, but not much.

Reward[]

The reward for this mission is 50,000 credits plus a variable amount depending on the number of enemies taken out and, in the case of the planes in the PAL version, how they were taken out. The JSF X-32 is unlocked for 620,000 credits.

Trivia[]

  • The base targets that appear in Pinpoint and Blinded appear to be modelled after the AA Radar target from Mobile Infantry in the original Airforce Delta.
  • In the NTSC-U version, all of these missions have a time limit of ten minutes. In the PAL and NTSC-J versions, however, they all have a time limit of seven minutes instead.
