The Penta is a Konami Legacy plane that only appears in Airforce Delta Strike. It was originally featured as the player's craft in Konami's 1991 hybrid platform/shoot 'em up Yume Penguin Monogatari (which roughly translates to Story of the Dream Penguin) for the Nintendo Famicom.
The Penta is a fairly odd craft. It is a heavily stylized Cold War era fighter. It features straight wings, and has a single vertical stabilizer with rear wings located near the top. It also has a holed nose air intake. The craft is solid pink and features a pink female penguin with a bow on the wing, and an onigiri on the vertical stabilizer. It is being flown by a stylized blue penguin.
The Penta is somewhat below-average for a Konami Legacy plane, mostly because it has rockets instead of missiles as its main weapon and most of its stats are unimpressive. You could do worse than this for rocket plane standards, but other Konami Legacy rocket planes like the TwinBee are arguably superior. The Penta's Fish Bombs are simply Unguided Bombs with a different name. The only real advantages the Penta has over the TwinBee are superior defense and a faster firing rate for its rockets. This is, overall, a fairly mediocre but not outright terrible Konami Legacy plane.

- The music that plays whenever this plane is used is the same as the Block Shooter.
- Although this plane is unlocked for free, this plane's price would technically be 900,000 credits due to how repair prices for planes are calculated (50% of the plane's cost to purchase, hundred-digit numbers rounded up).
