"It may be an older model that's on sale, but don't be fooled. This maneuverable fighter is perfect for heavy combat."
Harry's description of this plane in the shop.

The MiG-17F (NATO reporting name of Fresco C) is an aircraft that only appears in Airforce Delta Strike, where it is used by Giuseppe Ferretti and can be used by Alex Levine.

Origin (Real-Life)[]

The MiG-17F is a variation of the original MiG-17 Fresco. This model is a basic fighter version, powered by the VK-1F engine with afterburner ("aircraft SF"). The MiG-17 as a whole was produced in 1952, as an advancement of the MiG-15.

Design[]

The MiG-17F is... Admittedly, a cute looking plane. Fairly small, with small wings, a flat "holed" nose (which serves as the craft's air intake), and rear wings atop the vertical stabilizer (A common trait for fighters of the time). It's very simply designed overall.

Performance[]

This plane is bad. Like... Honestly. It's really bad. All of its stats are abysmal. The only competition this thing has a snowball's chance in Hell at winning is a competition against the MiG-19PFM. So how does it compare to that? Well, although its stats are inferior (Predictably, as the MiG-19 is an advancement of this craft), this plane is arguably better for two reasons. Firstly, vulcans. Gives it some dogfighting capabilities. Secondly, it doesn't have the stupid "Burst-fire" thing the MiG-19PFM's rockets have; It can be fired freely, which helps save ammo and lets you be accurate. So it's arguably better than the Farmer, despite the worse stats. Also, despite having atrocious thrust, it does have afterburners.

Alternatively, say sod both of these stupid planes and use something actually good.
