The MX5000 is a Konami Legacy plane that only appears in Airforce Delta Strike. It was originally featured as the player's craft in Konami's 1987 vertically scrolling shooter arcade game Flak Attack which is also sometimes known as MX5000. It appears to be a fictional variation of the F-15E Strike Eagle.
Design[]
The MX5000 has a pale green color scheme with numerous triangles colored in a darker shade of green on the wings, vertical stabilizers, and rear wings as well as a white nose. It strongly resembles the F-15 lineup of planes. There are a couple of differences though. Firstly, it has two fins pointing upwards near the cockpit. Its tail wings are also notably more angular than those on real-life F-15s. Another thing, its vertical stabilizers are lightly angled outwards. It also has two small fins under the craft itself and an even smaller pair of fins in front of those fins. The craft's air intakes and engines also look notably different than normal F-15s.
Performance[]
A strong performer with solid stats all around. This plane has decent speed, thrust, mobility, and defense. It's also armed with the incredibly rare and useful Multi-Lock Air-to-Surface Missile which has many uses since ground targets have poor mobility and are incapable of dodging missiles effectively. This plane's anti air attack stat is also fairly high, so it can hold its own in a dogfight if the situation calls for it.
