The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo (and commonly known as the Indigenous Defense Fighter, or IDF) is an aircraft that only appears in Airforce Delta Storm.

Origin (Real-Life)[]

The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo is a Chinese/Taiwanese multirole aircraft. The aircraft was developed after the US had refused to sell F-20 Tigershark and F-16 Fighting Falcon jets to China. It was introduced in 1994, and variants of the craft are still in service to this day.

Design[]

The IDF is a very "F-16"-esque craft, having a moderately similar design (relatively small craft, two moderately sized wings, single vertical stabilizer). The IDF possesses a twin-engine design, however.

Performance[]

This aircraft is unlocked quite a bit too late to be of much use. It's unlocked in the last airbase in chapter one, for completing a secret mission, on top of that. To be fair, this aircraft doesn't have awful stats, but when compared to the F-15S/MT Active that you can acquire WAY before this aircraft, it's lacking. Again, not a bad aircraft. Just one that's... Relatively outclassed to players who know where to find secret airbases. It has decent range and stats outside of attack, but... Competition is tough in this game.
