The Earth Defense Alliance Force (or E.D.A.F. for short) is the primary protagonistic force in Airforce Delta Strike. They are waging open war against the Orbital Citizen Community, due to the latter launching a massive invasion of Earth.

However, by the time of the game's events, the E.D.A.F. have already lost 80% of the territory. As a result, the E.D.A.F. were forced to use delay tactics and extend the battlefront, causing a stalemate whilst taking heavy losses.

As a result, they were forced to recruit additional troops, pushing them to the front line. The notorious Delta Squadron, a squadron that was noted to have "nothing to be proud of but their long history", was also forced to recruit and fight to the front lines as well.

EDAF Squadrons — From left to right: Alfa, Bravo (or Blavo), Charlie, and Delta

There are four primary "troops"/squadrons seen in the game; Alfa (or Alpha), Bravo, Charlie, and, of course, Delta.

There may be additional squadrons, but nothing is known beyond these four. In-game, only two squadrons are encountered (Bravo and Delta). Alfa only appears in cutscenes, and Charlie never makes any appearance at all, and only appears in supplementary material.

Alfa, the 1st Mixed Aviation Troop[]

Alfa (a misspelling of "Alpha") is the first mixed aviation troop. They are also one of two troops not directly encountered in gameplay.

However, planes bearing their logos can be seen in cutscenes. As a result of the planes they used, they seem to be the primary force for the E.D.A.F.

None of their pilots are known.

Bravo, the 2nd Mixed Aviation Troop[]

Bravo (misspelled as "Blavo" in some scenarios) is a Mixed Aviation Troop encountered in Airforce Delta Strike.

Unlike Alfa, Bravo is encountered directly in gameplay. Notably, their primary squadron, which consists of David Smith, Collette and Constance Le Clerc.

They seem to have a reputation for failing jobs quite often; in nearly every single one of their appearances, they either crash or are shot down. There are only two exceptions to this.
