The Orbital Citizen Community (O.C.C.) is the primary antagonistic force of Airforce Delta Strike. As their name would suggest, they were formerly citizens who lived in space. However, they declared war on the E.D.A.F. and attacked using highly advanced weaponry. By the time of the game's events, most of the continent was under their control, and with it, many different countries.
Background[]
Not much is known of the O.C.C. prior to the war. However, it was known that they had, at one point, struck a deal with aliens from Mars, namely a specific leader named Navigator. In exchange for territory on Earth after their victory, he would provide them with data to create highly advanced craft and the means to create artificial super soldiers.
When the O.C.C. declared war, they immediately attacked the E.D.A.F. Space Headquarters, completely destroying it and killing all but Ken Thomas and Ellen McNichol, the latter of whom was taken and made into a brainwashed soldier.
By the start of the game, many countries had already fallen under their control, namely Merv, Ecbatana, and Ganos.

Factions[]
As stated, there are many different countries under the O.C.C. rule. Each major country is believed to have been taken over forcibly by the O.C.C. - This is directly stated to be true in the cases of Merv and Ganos.
Each faction is listed below, in order of prominence. Minor factions are also listed.
Merv Alliance[]

The Merv Alliance is what Merv had changed their name to, when they had been taken over by the O.C.C. They are Class H, which is seemingly the lowest of the low in the O.C.C.
Their air force is known as the Merv Flying Corps, which is lead by Sergei Kinski.
Their background before the takeover is not known.
They appear to be primarily European in nature (Or at least, the Airforce Delta equivalent of such); many of the members have foreign names, with Sergei having a prominent Russian accent.
They are known to usually pilot Russian craft into battle, mainly of weaker levels, usually either low-end Sukhois or Mikoyans. Their plane colors are generally dark green.
They also have a fleet, known as the Beloe Fleet, which appears in several missions.
The M.F.C's logo consists of three four-pronged stars inside of two circles.

Ganos[]

Ganos is the second of the O.C.C. factions to be introduced, and appear in quite a few missions.
It was known that Ganos had resisted fiercely against the O.C.C, but had eventually lost regardless and was forced into their ranks. Their leader is unknown, and they only have one prominent pilot.
Their flight corps is known as the Ganos Flight Army Division (Referred to as the "Ganos Flying Division" in the export versions).
They are believed to be the Airforce Delta equivalent of China, as they primarily use those aircraft (And are, in fact, the only faction in Strike to use Chinese aircraft, Sergei piloting a Jian-Ji 8 notwithstanding). Further adding to this is the fact their sole noted ace, Donald, has a Chinese surname. As noted before, they initially pilot Chinese aircraft (along with the odd Russian plane, such as the Su-24 or Su-39), but later on, they switch things up and begin piloting more prominent Russian aircraft, notably Yakovlevs. Their plane colors range from gray to chalk white.
Their logo is... strange. It consists of a round, bull's-eye-like shape with four circles surrounding it, with four "prongs" resembling Tron lines sticking out of the four cardinal points of the circle. The prong on the bottom of the circle is merely a singular line, while the others spread out of the center of the logo.

Ecbatana[]

Ecbatana is the third of the O.C.C. factions to be introduced in the game, and they appear in the fewest missions. Details about them are very scarce, but it is known that their air force is known as the "Ecbatana Aviation Army", judging by their logo which appeared in a Japanese strategy guide for Strike. In the export versions, they are known as the "Ecbatana Air Force". They seem to be doing much better than the other factions at the very least, considering the wealth that the likes of Francine Davout still possess.
Their leader is unknown, but they have two prominent pilots battled in the game.
They primarily use higher-end Sukhois; Generally, Su-35s and Su-34s. Their planes are colored lavender.
Their logo consists of a bright orange E, stylized to resemble a bird.

8th Experiment Army Division[]

The 8th Experiment Army Division is a major faction encountered in the game. They appear to be in charge of the advanced weapons development within the O.C.C., as missions involving them generally have high-tech weaponry associated with them.
They can be considered primary antagonists as a result of them fueling the O.C.C. war machine with the highly advanced weaponry. Their leader is unknown, though it is possible that Navigator may be in charge, considering these weapons are based on the aliens' design.
Their logo is four red hexagons, stacked on each other.

There are several minor factions in the game. They are listed below, in order of appearance. (MAY BE SOME ORGANIZATION ERRORS)
P.S.A.A. (INFORMATION REQUIRED)[]
This article or section is Under Construction. Please check back later or contribute to the page to add as much as you can. |
"P.S.A.A." (Currently decoded to "Pristina (???) Aviation Army") is a minor faction. It is the first minor faction encountered. They appear to be a bomber unit, as they utilize bombers in every mission they appear in. They may be a subsidiary of the Merv Alliance, as they only appear in missions involving them.
Their logo is a chevron with a triangle beneath the chevron.

Illastria Railroad Guard Party[]
The Illastria Railroad Guard Party is a minor faction only encountered in Rail Road. They pilot military trains in an effort to stop the fleeing refugees from Lugerde City from reaching safe ground.
Their logo is a circle with several prongs inside, somewhat resembling a train wheel.
Gallery (Vehicles)[]
Beloe Fleet[]
The Beloe Fleet (Possibly a mistranslation of "Beroe", which is a figure in Greek mythology, and, indeed, has many ships named after figures in Greek mythology) is the primary fleet of the Merv Alliance. It predominantly appears in three missions. Although it possesses mostly normal ships, it also possesses a few unique battleships, known as Type-E: Holders (two different varieties exist, the E0 (a singular unit encountered in Fleet Attack) and the E9 (multiple units encountered in Iceberg).
Their logo is merely a hexagon with lines inside of it, drawing up to each point on the hexagon.

23rd Air Transportation Convoy[]
The 23rd Air Transportation Convoy (Sometimes mispelled as 23th Air Transportation Convoy) is a minor faction only encountered in Over the Cloud. They utilize massive, heavily armed transports (Namely, a group of smaller Type-B8: Arrow unmanned transports, alongside one larger Type-B7: Spiral transport).
Their logo is a blue pentagon.
Gallery (Aircraft)[]
Merv Ecbatana Union[]
The Merv Ecbatana Union is a minor faction within the game. After the many major defeats of the Merv Alliance and Ecbatana (The former losing most of their prominent members, and the latter losing Jake), they were forced to combine their forces.
It's also possible that, judging by the presence of the Troll squadron (Donald's squadron) in Up Stream, that Ganos may be involved in this union in some way as well, but nothing is confirmed.
They are only directly encountered in the final missions on Earth.
They pilot three aircraft; the S-55 LFS, the I-2000 LFS, and the Su-30MKI. Their plane colors are grayish-green with white edges.
Their logo is a combination of the Merv and Ecbatana logo; the stars of the Merv logo have been shifted to where the gap is located on the right, and inside of the gap is the Ecbatana Logo. The Ecbatana logo is also modified in color; the tip near the "head" of the eagle is blue, and its wings and tail are now a vermilion color.
Notable Members[]
- Leon Kleiser (technically)
- Francine Davout (technically)
- Donald Chan (possibly, unconfirmed)

Trivia[]
- The standard O.C.C. logo is the same as the logo of the United Forces seen in the game prior, as seen on wallpapers such as these. The only difference between the logos is the addition of two triangles on the left and right sides of the O.C.C. logo.
- They only pilot Russian and Chinese fighters on Earth, discounting their fictional craft.
- Some of their fighters use emblems recycled from Delta aircraft.
