The Rockwell RPRV-870 HiMAT (Highly Maneuverable Aircraft Technology) is an aircraft that only appears in Airforce Delta Strike, and is only used by Ruth Valentine.
Origin (Real-Life)[]
The Rockwell RPRV-870 HiMAT is an aircraft developed by Rockwell International in the late seventies to serve as technology development for future aircraft. Its testing ran until 1983, and from there it was put to bed.
Design[]
This is a very strangely designed aircraft, with looks unlike any other; it has a very small body with a strange set of vertical stabilizers, a thin, needle-like front, a small, strange engine, and front canards.
Performance[]
This plane can best be compared to John's X-31A (interesting, since both were developed by Rockwell). Compared to the X-31A, this aircraft has the same incredible mobility. However, all other aspects are inferior; It's even less durable than the X-31A, and has worse thrust and speed. It lacks afterburners as well, making it incredibly hard to get a good speed, which seriously hurts this plane's dogfighting capabilities. The lack of vulcans is also a sore spot. However, it is the most maneuverable of Ruth's planes. Sadly, the downsides seriously hold it back. Frail, slow speed, no vulcans, this is a below-average craft. In addition, you unlock the Su-30MKI before this plane; needless to say, that plane blows this out of the water utterly.

- Like the X-36, this technically shouldn't be flyable and usable as a fighter, as it is actually a subscale remote controlled fighter (Only 22.5 feet long in fact, though it is technically longer than the X-36, which is only 18 feet long).
