- "This is a solid, triple-threat aircraft at a decent price. It'll work pretty well for you in any type of combat mission."
The MiG-29SMT (NATO reporting name of Fulcrum C, known as simply MiG-29 Fulcrum in the first two Airforce Delta games) is a recurring aircraft in the Airforce Delta series, it has appeared in all three games. In Strike, it is used by Ken Thomas and the Merv Flying Corps.
Origin (Real-Life)[]
The MiG-29SMT is an improvement to the original MiG-29, containing many upgrades (originally intended for the MiG-29M) such as enhanced fuel tanks, an improved cockpit, and other such additions.
Design (All Games)[]
Airforce Delta/Storm[]
One of the more recognizable aircraft in existence, the MiG-29 is a small fighter with a twin-wing setup, along with two rear engines and vertical stabilizer. The design itself is very recognizable.
Airforce Delta Strike[]
Nearly the same as the previous games, but now, the craft has a more pronounced dorsal spine, which was a design element of the MiG-29SMT. Aside from that, it's basically the same plane.
Performance[]
Airforce Delta[]
A very good early-game plane. This plane is unlocked at the same time as the F-16 Fighting Falcon, to which this aircraft is superior in all aspects, on top of being cheaper than its competition. This is a very good choice up until you unlock better, such as the F-15S/MT Active.
Airforce Delta Storm[]
Again, a decent craft unlocked fairly early on. It's a bit hamstrung by bad attack, leaving it with somewhat low armaments, but it's still not a bad plane. The MiG-33 all but replaces it when it's unlocked, however. And it also has a fairly unimpressive range, which can hurt it in certain situations.
Airforce Delta Strike[]
Once again, a decent multi-role aircraft for Ken. It has decent stats all around, and can serve many purposes thanks to its decent armaments. Rocket Pods, though inaccurate thanks to its "Burst fire" capability, do grant large sums of money if you can destroy with it. Aside from that, it's a good plane, until you unlock better.
