The IAI Lavi (Hebrew: לביא, "Young Lion") is an aircraft that appears only in Airforce Delta Storm, though the J-10 would ironically appear in Airforce Delta Strike instead of this aircraft. In the PAL version of Storm, the aircraft has a different paint job.

Origin (Real-Life)[]

The IAI Lavi was a prototype Israeli aircraft, developed amidst some controversy with both the Israeli public due to the enormous associated costs, and particularly with the U.S. government due to competition with American jets on the export market. The project, thusly, was eventually cancelled, though it is highly believed that data of the project may have been sold to China to develop the J-10 (Though these allegations are denied).

Design[]

The Lavi is a small, single-engined craft with delta wings and a single vertical stabilizer. It possesses front canards. It's a particularly small plane.

Performance[]

The Lavi is a semi decent aircraft. It's unlocked for free by shooting down the unnamed ace in Assassin at Mach. Stats overall are average; compared to the J-10, all stats are basically superior (which is fitting in a cosmic-sort of way). Its lowest stat is Attack, but it still has 58 missiles, and an impressive range of 4.

Statistics[]

Type Stats
Attack: Medium-low
Defense: Medium-high (4100 HP)
Speed: Medium-high
Power: Medium-high
Mobility: Medium-high
Missile: 58
Ability: No
Range: 4

Note: There are no differences in stats between the US and PAL versions.

Enemy Appearances (Missions)[]

  • An unnamed United Forces ace piloting this craft appears as the lone target in the second ace battle Assassin at Mach.

Trivia[]

  • Interestingly, the PAL version of this plane has a different paint job than the US version. The same is also true for several other planes, such as the the Su-30MKI.
    • Even more interesting, the PAL version actually has a different paint job for the ace encountered in Assassin at Mach, as well. (See Gallery)
