"It's a little pricey, but this Rolls Royce of early fighters does have good maneuverability for its size."
Harry's description of this plane in the shop.

The Mitsubishi F-2 is a Japanese multirole aircraft, derived from the F-16 Fighting Falcon. It is sometimes known as the Viper Zero. The craft was introduced in 2000, and it possessed the first active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, the J/APG-1; notable in this regard for beating out the F/A-22 Raptor by a few years. It appeared in Airforce Delta Storm and Airforce Delta Strike, usable by Ken Thomas in the latter.

Design

As to be expected, the F-2A looks nearly identical to the F-16; Same design with a twin-winged design with a single vertical stabilizer, a single engine, and a large air intake under the nose. The F-2A is a tad larger than the F-16, however.

Performance

Airforce Delta Storm

A strong performer. It's got good mobility and defense stats, but it's hamstrung a tad by sub-par range at this point in the game. Stats are above average all around, but it's hard to compete with crafts like the F/A-18S AiraCobra II, the F-22 Raptor, and the MiG-1.44 MFI, which you might have unlocked at this point. Still, it's by no means bad.

Airforce Delta Strike

A good performer. This craft is noteworthy for being Ken's most durable, sitting at a pretty 3800 HP. This alone gives it a niche. It's also one of Ken's very few good anti-ground planes. However, it's unlocked fairly late into the game, which hurts its usefulness a good bit. But if you need anti-ground as Ken, this is the plane to go to, by far.
