- "This delta wing interceptor was the first of its kind. It provides exceptional air to air combat at high altitudes."
The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger is an aircraft that only appears in Airforce Delta Strike, where it is usable by Ruth Valentine.
Origin (Real-Life)[]
The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger was a North American interceptor craft developed in the 1950s to serve as the backbone for the US Air Force's air defense. It was designed with the role of intercepting Soviet bomber craft, such as the Tu-95 Bear. It was the USAF's first supersonic and delta wing fighter, and a thousand were built. The craft was retired in 1979.
Design[]
The F-102A is as simple of a plane design as they come; a long, straight fuselage with the revolutionary (at the time) delta wing setup. It has a surprisingly modern air intake system (Not utilizing the "Holed-nose" air intake system used by many fighters of the time), using two small intakes on either side of the craft's cockpit. It has a single engine and vertical stabilizer.
Performance[]
Yet another terrible post game unlock. The Jian-Ji 11 is at least an Su-27SMK for Ruth; this thing is just... Bad. No vulcans, poor stats that don't break the low threshold, meh special weapon for how late in the game it's unlocked... It's a post game unlock. That's about all that needs to be said for its performance. Cheap, though.
