Intercept Missions are missions in Airforce Delta Strike that usually appear out of nowhere on the world map while attempting to move to an actual mission. They usually have small numbers of enemies, though later Intercepts can have much higher amounts of enemies. Most of them are merely named "Encount", while only a few actually have names of their own. No Intercept mission can be played in Free Mission mode. Some Intercept missions can be skipped if a 2nd Element character is being played as.

Intercept missions actually have unique music tracks that only play during them and nowhere else. There are three different music tracks for Intercept Missions.
