The Aura-Wing is a Konami Legacy plane that only appears in Airforce Delta Strike. It was originally featured as the player's craft in Konami's 1991 vertically scrolling shooter game Crisis Force for the Nintendo Famicom.

Design

The Aura-Wing is a very futuristic-looking fighter, having two large, blade-like wings that can split in half when "Hypre Mode" is engaged. The aircraft has two pronounced vertical stabilizers with large rear fins, and a very narrow fuselage. It has a single engine. It is predominantly white with red and yellow highlights. When Hypre Mode is engaged, not only do the wings split in half, but they also get surrounded with a light blue energy.

Performance

The Aura-Wing possesses decent stats for the most part with highlights including mobility and defense. The only real problem this plane has is the fact its mobility stat is a bit too high for its merely average thrust to keep up with at times. Its special weapon is a homing laser that does heavy damage, but is average in terms of accuracy and only usable against other aircraft. Overall, this craft is a fairly strong performer.
