- "In order to reduce development costs, the design for this carrier-based attack craft was based on the supersonic F-8 Crusader. The all-around nature of the aircraft's design makes it a basic reference point for other fighter models."
- ―Airforce Delta Storm manual description, page 24.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II is a carrier-capable subsonic light attack aircraft developed in the 1960s to replace the A-4 Skyhawk. It initially entered service with the US Navy during the Vietnam war, and was later adopted by the US Air Force to replace the A-1 Skyraider and the F-100 Super Sabre. In the games, it appears in both Airforce Delta Storm and Airforce Delta Strike, as a starter plane in both games. It is the starter plane of Brian Douglas in the latter game.

Design
A fairly average craft. It has a semi-long body, with a pronounced air intake below the nose of the craft. It has two large, straight-edged wings, and a single rear stabilizer with two rear wings. It only has a single engine.
Performance
Airforce Delta Storm
This is the first plane you can use in the game, and you must use it for Defensive Perimeter. The plane, as you can already expect, has poor stats across the board, with not a single stat even breaking the "Medium" threshold. As a result, this plane should be replaced with better as soon as those planes are available, which will not be a long wait.
Airforce Delta Strike
Not nearly as bad as the Storm counterpart. Although stats are still average, it has a good salvo of weapons, having vulcans and Unguided Bombs to grant a good amount of money. Brian doesn't have much in the way of good planes, and it's kind of sad this is one of the better planes he's got. You'll probably use this for quite a while until you unlock something half worthwhile.
